Spray park fun!

There are only a few spray parks that Ruby likes and fortunately, she likes the one in our neighborhood. It is a nice way to cool off on the super hot days!

"Cool" day and trip to the zoo

A few weeks ago we had an overcast day and it stayed below 90 degrees for most the day. And since we hadn't been to the zoo since April, Ruby and I made a trip!

We had such a fun time walking around.

She loves the fish, snakes, frogs and spiders.

They have a really neat bird enclosure where kids can feed the birds seeds on sticks.

Ruby was thrilled that the birds were perching on her stick, eating the seeds. So sweet!

And we rode both the carousel and the miniature train!

More Snow Cones!

We love going to get a snow cone before going to the pool!

Grannie Lynn comes to visit

My mom and Mollie came up to visit a few weeks ago. They got lots of fun playtime with Ruby!

Swimming with the Robersons

Kate, Allen and Lil' Alex came out to our neighborhood pools a few weekends ago.

Snow Cone!

We found a great snow cone stand that has a covered tent area. Makes enjoying a delicious snow cone much nicer when sitting outside in the 100 degree+ heat!

When we walked up to the window, Ruby said 'I want the rainbow one lady.'

Update on Baby Boy Macnab - 28 weeks

I had a 28 week dr. appointment yesterday which included an ultrasound, blood test, glucose test, etc.

I got to see baby boy Macnab. The sonogram tech was doing all the measurements and said, 'oh, baby is 4 pounds.' This was a bit of a startling fact, given that the average weight at 28 weeks is 2.25 pounds. So, this boy is nearly double the average for this stage, and weighing about 4 or so weeks ahead. Now, it could be that he just hit a growth spurt early and it will even out, or it could be a sign of what is to come...a huge baby! Good thing I'm having a c-section and don't have to really worry about this!

With this whole pregnancy I have told the dr. and nurse not to tell me my weight unless it is a problem or cause for concern. And so far the only comment I have heard from my ob on this topic is 'you are all baby,' which is a really nice, positive thing to hear when you are 7 months pregnant. Anyways, personally I feel great about how I look at this stage. You wouldn't know I have a giant in there, at least for now.
