Our little pumpkin

My mom gave Ruby a cozy (BRIGHT ORANGE!!!) Halloween outfit. She wore it to Gymboree today and out to see the Robersons. (Thanks again mom for the festive outfit.) We'll post pics of Ruby in her halloween costume after this weekend!

Sunday at the Dallas Farmers Market

Oh, how we miss Borough Market in London.

We went out to the Dallas Farmers Market last weekend.

It was really different than we remembered it (much smaller!) But, it was still nice to wander around, pick up some veggies, spices and a rosemary plant.

They had lots and lots of pumpkins...

It was Ruby's first trip to the farmer's market and she seemed to enjoy it...

She's just starting reaching out for our faces...and loves to touch mouths and noses!

New Activities - Gymboree and Baby Yoga

I feel so lucky that I'm able to stay home with Ruby, watching her grow and develop day to day. We have lots of fun at home, but we like to get out and about a bit too. I've just discovered a few really fun activities for moms with babies! Just last week we started Gymboree and Baby Yoga. Here are a few cute pics at Gymboree...

Her favorite parts of the class are the parachute, the bubbles and the puppet!

Ooooh, Ahhhh...BUBBLES!!!

Grapevine Pumpkin Patch

Earlier this week I met a local mom & babies group at a pumpkin patch in Grapevine and took several more pics of Ruby in fall surroundings.

And when Ruby had just about enough of being sat amongst the pumpkins, she made this face...

Matias' first birthday party

Alex, Ruby and I attended Matias' first birthday party. Annette and Sakari threw a fantastic getogether and it was nice to meet some of their friends. Here are a few pics...

Here's Ruby wearing her festive Parisian outfit!

Ruby red beret

Since the weather is starting to get a bit cooler (well, it was for a few days, and then today it felt like it was in the 80s again!) I bought Ruby a pretty red beret from one of my favorite baby shops, Janie and Jack. Isn't she cute!

Beautiful fall day at the Dallas Arboretum

Saturday we met the Ebarbs, Robersons and Alex's parents at the Dallas Arboretum for a picnic and a stroll around. There were pumpkins and fall blooms everywhere! It was a warm, sunny day which made for a fantastic day out.

With photo ops at every turn, we managed to take lots of cute pics...here is a selection.

Video - Ruby learns how to jump in her jumperoo

Well, it didn't take too long...Ruby now knows how to jump in her jumperoo. Yay!

Video - Daddy reads to Ruby

I'm usually the one who reads to Ruby, but last night I encouraged Alex to read one of Ruby's new books, 'Fish kisses' to her before bedtime. Here he is reading to an enthralled Ruby.

Video - Ruby is now 5 months old and trying baby rice!

Ruby is now 5 months old! To celebrate, we introduced her to solid food...Well, we gave her a few spoonfuls of really liquidy baby rice.

I had to mark the occasion with candles (My mom did the same for me when I first tried foods...what a fantastic idea!) and special keepsake dishes (The Peter Rabbit dishes that I had used as a child...thanks again mom for passing them on so I could let Ruby use them!)

Here is a short video of her pretty neutral reaction to the baby rice...

Daddy also got to try feeding her...

This pic makes me laugh!

Ruby meets her Great Auntie Ralena

Sunday we drove to Edom, near Tyler, so Ruby could meet her Great Auntie Ralena (Alex's aunt).

Alumni weekend

Alex and I went to our university, walked around and ate in the student cafeteria (just for old times sake!)

Ruby was all ladybugs, including her cute hat!

Alex played in the alumni vs student rugby match. Here he is, covered in mud after the game. (The alumni won!)

While there, I got to see one of my old roomates, Carolyn. It was so nice to catch up!

After the rugby game, we went to a local restaurant. Ruby got to visit with her Macnab grandparents and chat with Auntie Kate and her cousin, Alex.
