Baby Boy Macnab at 19 weeks

Here is a 19 week scan picture of baby boy Macnab. I've just started feeling movements and kicks in the past 2 weeks and have developed what I believe to be a cute baby bump.

Yay for the half way point!

More fun at the beach

Beautiful Ruby pondering the waves at the beach.

A bit sleepy on the ferry ride.

Posing for a picture on the boardwalk with mama.

We got Ruby her first sno cone at the beach.

It was blue coconut flavor and she absolutely loved it.

Ruby's first trip to the beach

My mom and I took a day trip to Galveston. We rode the ferry and fed the seagulls, and took Ruby to the beach for the first time.

She loved the sand...

But did NOT like the water/waves.

So we spent most of the time playing in the sand (away from the water).

Ruby and mama

Ruby and Grannie Lynn

Ruby got to spend lots of quality time with Grannie Lynn during our visit.

I think one of Ruby's favorite things was hearing my mom's storytelling at night before bedtime.

Ruby visits the Aquarium restaurant

We took Ruby to an aquarium restaurant that was an hour or so away from my parents' house.

She got to see all kind of neat fish in their huge aquarium tanks.

I sewed her a fish patterned dress for the occasion.

My friend Heather, her daughters and her mom joined us for dinner there.

Afterwards we walked around the boardwalk area.

More visits with the Goodells

Ruby got to see my grandpa during our visit.

And my dad gave her some fun plastic fishing worms to play with.

Ruby's first fishing trip

My dad took Ruby on her first fishing trip. She got to play with earthworms...

And dip a cane pole in the water (she did seem to get what we were doing and held it in the water, watching the cork for a minute or two!)

We all caught some small perch so Ruby got an up close look at REAL fish!

And she got to see a dragonfly.

Thanks for taking us dad. I know Ruby had a good time!

Ruby's first boat ride on the river

I visited my parents and we took Ruby out on her first boatride on the river.

I was so glad Ruby could spend this quality time with my dad.

Ruby and mama playing peekaboo.

Grannie Lynn and Ruby.

Such a fun morning out with the family! Ruby enjoyed it (except the lifejacket part!)

May birthdays playdate at the park

One of our playgroups hosts a monthly playdate to celebrate the birthdays of that month. Since it was May, Ruby and I went and she enjoyed a cupcake and playtime with her buddies.

Brave Ruby

Ruby knows no fear at playgrounds. She climbs up steep rockwalls and goes all the way up to the tallest slide. I was a little nervous when she went up to the top of this one, but she went down all by herself.

First trip to the neighborhood pools

Alex and I took Ruby to the neighborhood pools for the first time this year. She did great! She loves the pool which is really shallow in one end and gradually gets deeper. We will be spending a lot of time there this summer!

Lavender Festival

Ruby and I went to a lavender festival an hour from our house. Di, Kate and Alex went too. Thanks for driving us Kate!

We picked fresh lavender...

And walked through the flea market/antiques area.

Ruby got to spend time with her cousin.

Jax's birthday party

Alex and I took Ruby to her buddy Jax's birthday party. The kids played on the slip N' slide (our birthday gift to him) and splashed in the pool.

Ruby drinks from big kid cup

I started giving Ruby small plastic cups to drink from and she is doing great! We've had a few spills, but I'm so glad we are slowly moving away from the sippee cups.

For several months she has been eating cereal and milk from a bowl like a big kid too.

More backyard pool fun

Ruby likes spending the afternoon in the pool in the backyard.

And sometimes she gets to have an ice cream sandwich for a snack! Yummy!

Swimming at Preston's house

Ruby and I went to a playdate at her friend Preston's house. His pool was set up in the backyard and the kids had a blast sliding and splashing.

First dip in the pool

I got Ruby a small splash pool for the backyard. She loves it!

Not too sure about the sprinkler though.

And we had to have watermelon for the occasion!
