Graham - 5 weeks

Graham is now 5 weeks old...

At his checkup he was 12pounds, 12 ounces (97%) and his height is 24 inches (97%).

He eats 4-6ounces every 3 hours during the day, and then wakes only once a night (goes for 5-6 hour stretches).

In the last week we've had two nights where he went to sleep around 10:30and woke at 5:45 one day, and 6:15 another day. Hopefully he is getting closer to sleeping through the night consistently.

He loves being rocked to sleep in his swing.

He is very alert likes swatting at things on his playmat.

He props himself up on my chest and looks around the room.

Festive outing

I took Ruby and Graham to see Santa. I've been asking Ruby what she wants for Christmas and she keeps saying "just chocolate." I say you don't want any toys and she repeats, "just chocolate." She gets her love of chocolate from daddy.

Ruby wants to hold Graham a lot. She is pretty gentle, caressing his head, patting his tummy and just staring at his face with fascination. Such a sweet big sister.

Ruby and I enjoyed looking through all the ornaments. She "helped" put them on the tree.

Graham - 3 weeks

Bathtime

Alex bathes Graham two to three times a week. He enjoys it. Ruby likes to watch.

Ruby does such a good job holding her baby brother. We position her on the sofa with the boppy pillow so they can snuggle. She watches him very intently as he sleeps or makes noises.

At 2 weeks old we tried carrying Graham in the baby bjorn. He liked it. We weren't able to carry Ruby in it until she was much older, and she fussed a lot.

We walked down the street to see a friend.



And went to a mall for a stroll around.

Ruby is always wanting to hold her baby brother. And lucky for us, sometimes she wants to feed him too.

Graham - 2 weeks

Graham had his 2 week check and he weighs 11 pounds, 7 oz. According to the dr. he is off the percentile charts for weight, and in the 90th percentiles for height. He is going to be a big boy!

He skipped newborn diapers and has been wearing 0-3 month size clothes since birth.

He went through a growth spurt where he was eating every 2 hours.

Each day he is getting more alert and likes laying on his playmat.

Pigtails

At 2 1/2 Ruby still has very little hair. However, we were able to scrape together tiny pigtails.

The last week in October our backyard trees turn all kinds of beautiful colors. We took a few pics outside in the fall leaves.

Graham's first week

Here are a few pictures of Graham in his first week home. He is a very content baby...he eats a ton, and sleeps most all of the day.





He dreams a LOT! As soon as he falls asleep his eyes roll back into his head and he starts smiling.

We only swaddled his arms and legs in the first week or so. Then he fought his way out. (We kept Ruby swaddled for longer.)
