Twas the night before Christmas

Alex reading Ruby 'The night before Christmas' by the fireplace.

Our tree, all quiet and peaceful before the chaos of opening packages in the morning.

Ruby enjoying the Christmas tree

Ruby loves having a Christmas tree. She looks at all the ornaments and plays with the elves that hang on it. We always get a real tree, and this year had an additional small artificial tree in our front window (AKA the rainbow tree with rainbow lights).

Potty Training Progress

I've been encouraging Ruby to use the potty for some time now, but finally something has clicked. I think it is largely because she noticed a friend of hers told her mom she needed to go. We've only had a few accidents (luckily no messy ones!) Yay for having only one baby in diapers now!

Graham's first trip to the zoo

We've had fantastic weather lately. I took both kiddos to the zoo on a crisp, sunny day. Graham slept a lot of the time.

Ruby loves the snakes, lizards and frogs.

Merry Christmas Kiss

Ruby kisses Graham in the glow of the Christmas tree. I'm so glad we've been able to give her a baby brother. I can't wait to see them interacting as they get older.

Ruby on Christmas Eve

Ruby all dressed up in her Santa dress for Christmas Eve.

Festive Ruby

We have some silly hats for Christmas morning. Here's Ruby trying them on.

One of her favorite activities is jumping from the sofa to the ottoman in our living room. Here's an action shot.
