Sharing cheerios at the spray park

As you can tell, we really enjoy the spray park. Last week we met some friends there.

Ruby and her friend Maddie share cheerios for snack. They have matching polka dot swimsuits!

Uh-oh!

Ruby now knows how to climb stairs, and is nearly able to climb on top of the ottoman, recliner and fireplace. She can also open (and empty) some of her dresser drawers and knows how to climb inside cabinets. This is not good. I'm expecting lots of bumps and scrapes over the next several months!

Summertime fun

Our baby group met at a really neat spray park. Ruby loved it! She is getting more and more comfortable in the water.

Ruby and Maddie talk about their favorite parts of the spray park.

Happy 60th birthday Mom!

Last weekend we celebrated my mom's 60th birthday.

Our family went to a nice Sunday jazz brunch which was delicious! Ruby got to visit with her grandparents, aunt, uncle and her great grandmother (my mamaw).

My sister, Mollie, created a yummy tres leches cake! Isn't it beautiful?

Ruby also visited with her great grandfather, my Grandpa.

My mom watched Ruby one afternoon so Alex and I could go fishing with my dad and brother, Allan.

We had such a nice weekend! Happy birthday mom.

Jennifer's birthday lunch at Don Julios

Friday we went out for lunch for Jennifer's birthday. We had some yummy mexican food (Ruby loves tex mex!).

Cute baby babble - VIDEO

Ruby has been much more talkative lately and is adding new sounds everyday. Her latest are isssh (which I like to think is her trying to say fish)...meow (which usually occurs when she holds her cat doll)...and bebebe (which usually happens when she holds her baby doll). And just last week when we were singing old macdonald has a farm...she made some sounds very close to ee-ii-ee-ii-oo. So cute!

Here is a bunch of miscellaneous babble from one of our car rides last week. Alex and I just smile, turn down the radio and listen to her.

UGH...Drink out of your sippee cup!

Ruby refuses to take a sippee cup. She likes to throw it on the floor...and feed it bits of food off her tray! I have bought 5 different ones, and she just refuses! I know we'll get there eventually!
