Afternoon at the park

Alex, Ruby and I went to a local park one afternoon. Ruby loves the playground and gets so sad when we have to leave.

Ruby hair update - 20 months

Ruby's hair is slowly coming in. But, she is still the baldest girl in her playgroups...I'm dreaming of pigtails one day!

Sewing update

I recently finished sewing these bumpers for my friend Amy's baby's crib...














And I also sewed this balloon valance curtain. I'm so pleased with how they came out, especially since I didn't use a pattern! Her nursery is just adorable. I made her a pretty wreath using some of the scraps I had leftover.

Ruby and Matias play indoors

Annette told me about a neat indoor play area near her. Ruby and I met her there one day and the kids played together.













I've really enjoyed spending time with Annette (here with baby Sofia) while she has been on maternity leave.








Afterwards we took the kiddos to lunch.

Alex's mom's birthday

A few weekends ago we went to the Macnabs to celebrate Di's birthday.

Dinner with the Disselers

A few weekends ago we met our old Grapevine neighbors for dinner. We always enjoy catching up with them and they love spending time with Ruby.

Ruby's friend Matias came to our Green playdate and then he stayed for a bit afterwards.

They played in the backyard.


And enjoyed Ruby's playhouse.










Then they 'cooked' with the dishes my mom gave Ruby for Christmas.
