Hudson's birthday party

Last weekend Ruby, Alex and I went to Hudson's first birthday party.

Jessica went with a monkey theme and all the decorations were amazing. Aren't the vines neat?!?

Here's Hudson enjoying his cake while the little girls watch.

Ruby loved playing.

Jessica crocheted all the babies monkey hats as their party favors. So cute!

Thanks for inviting us Marshalls!

Playdate at Ruby's house

Nicole and her daughter Kaylee came over for a playdate. Ruby shared her slide.

Trip to the zoo

I love having a membership at the zoo. We go as often as we can!

Last week we met some friends there and saw lots of animals!

Ruby also got to ride the merry-go-round. Look at how happy she is!

She preferred to be out of her stroller...walking/running!

Ruby meets Cora

Carolyn came to visit Dallas and her friend Hillary hosted a fantastic playdate at her house. Ruby got to play with Cora.

They colored...

And chatted...

Maybe one day they can be pen pals.

It was so nice to see you Carolyn!

Ruby shops the Galleria

Last week Ruby, Alex's mom and I went out to the Galleria for a walk around.

Ruby got to play on the rides. She loved the car one so much she kept kissing it.

Ruby found this little girl fascinating. And she also loved all the fun boots in Nordstroms.

And to top it off she got to spend a few minutes in the play area.

Ruby's new favorite word - Outside!

Ruby has learned the meaning of 'outside' and she even requests going out. What she says sounds a little more like 'soutside' but we know exactly what she means.

She knows that outside there are fun things such as her water table and her new lawn mower.

It is where she can smell the roses (what's left of them after the summer at least!).

And it is where she can ride her 'beep beep' car. We ride down the driveway everyday to check the mail.

Enjoying the fountain in Southlake

Friday night we went out to dinner in Southlake. They have a nice fountain near the restaurant and Ruby loves watching the water. I put her up on the ledge, holding her fingers and she walks around and around, close to the edge.

The three of us had a really relaxing, delicious dinner on the patio of the restaurant. Ruby was so well-behaved and ate her dinner while babbling on about all the sights around.
