Ruby meets her Great Auntie Ralena

Sunday we drove to Edom, near Tyler, so Ruby could meet her Great Auntie Ralena (Alex's aunt).

Alumni weekend

Alex and I went to our university, walked around and ate in the student cafeteria (just for old times sake!)

Ruby was all ladybugs, including her cute hat!

Alex played in the alumni vs student rugby match. Here he is, covered in mud after the game. (The alumni won!)

While there, I got to see one of my old roomates, Carolyn. It was so nice to catch up!

After the rugby game, we went to a local restaurant. Ruby got to visit with her Macnab grandparents and chat with Auntie Kate and her cousin, Alex.

Video - Ruby's new jumperoo toy

Ruby loves to stand up so we thought this new rainforest jumperoo toy would be fun for her.

She loves this one attached toy that spins, but she hasn't realised that slight movements she makes activate the silly rainforest music and lights to start up.

The video below shows her intense focus on the spinning toy, until she is surprised (twice) by the music and lights. I can't wait til she learns to jump in this thing! (sorry it is sideways...it wouldn't flip!)

Learning to sit up

Ruby is practicing sitting up. She still needs pulling up, and she does start rolling sideways if I don't support her, but we're making progress!

Touching Toes

Ruby has discovered a new toy...her toes!

Video - Ruby rolls

Ruby is becoming a bit more mobile. We've been trying to teach her to roll and the other day she managed to do a roll unassisted...Yay. Go Ruby go!

Enjoying the new back yard

Since Ruby really liked laying outside yesterday afternoon, we did it again today. She was cooing at the leaves and grabbing the grass. After a bit of playing, she got so relaxed watching the leaves in the breeze that she fell asleep. I snapped several cute pictures of her enjoying her new backyard...

Such soft, fluffy grass...
