Alex took this pic of Ruby sleeping...her eyelashes are really growing now. So sweet.

Plastic rings...mmmmmm, yummy!

Ruby loves these plastic rings/links. She grabs them, then pulls them up to her mouth to slobber on them. (Thanks for the tip Kate!)

Ruby and I spent a morning with Lesley and her daughter, Holly. Here are the two girls in their pretty dresses...

Ruby's favorite sleeping position

Here is Alex holding Ruby in her favorite sleeping position. It looks a bit like he is breastfeeding.

Ruby is now 3 months old!

The time has flown and Ruby is now 3 months old. She is really starting to develop her personality and her smile!





She is also learning to hold her head steady, grab toys, put her hands in her mouth, and make noises. For the past month or so, she has settled into a pretty good sleeping routine, from about 9/10 pm to about 7 am (and sometimes later). YAY!

***Ruby's Likes***

1. Bottle time!
2. Morning, when mom or dad come to the crib
   
3. When mom and dad stick out their tongues and make faces
4. Mom and dad singing or talking nonsense
5. Froggie doll, Penguin, Giraffe
   
6. Black & white books and toys
   
7. London Public transport
   
8. Looking in the mirror
9. People-watching while out and about in London
10. Relaxing in her swing or swatting at toys on the playmat

***Ruby's Dislikes***

1. Getting dressed (this is the absolute worst thing...especially when mom puts her in dresses with fiddly snaps or things that have to be pulled overhead)
   
2. Stopping a bottle midway for a burp
3. Having hair washed and getting out of the bathtub
4. Slamming doors or unexpected loud noises (including the Organ and Saxaphone at Oliver's Christening-she HATED that!)
   
5. Getting sun in her eyes (so we put a white bonnet on her, which she tolerates, but doesn't really like either!)
   
6. Going to sleep
   
7. Getting immunizations (she just had her second set of them)
8. Tummy time is still not a favorite activity, but she is tolerating it a bit more than she used to
   

Ruby's first European Adventure - Sweden!

Ruby had her first trip on an airplane...didn't cry a bit on the way there! In fact, she thought takeoff was funny and made little giggles.



We spent a fantastic week with our good friends Marie and Markus in Sweden. Marie and I met in London during our pregnancies and our babies were born only a few weeks apart. They moved back to their home country of Sweden earlier this year.

Ruby got to spend quality time with their son, Oliver.


In fact, we were lucky enough to be able to attend Oliver's Christening at this beautiful church.


One day we made a roadtrip to Stockholm and the boys carried the babies in Baby Bjorns...so cute!



We went on walks in the forest near their house, picked blueberries and took a boat out to an island in a Bay near the Baltic sea.


We were able to meet their families and see their summer house.


The countryside was beautiful!
